FAQ

What is BOMBANANA! Endless Mode?
Endless is a procedural wave-based mode that becomes harder as the run continues.
How many waves are needed for Endless Master?
The Endless Master achievement requires 30 waves.

Quick answer

BOMBANANA! Endless Mode uses procedural wave-based levels that become harder as the run continues. It is separate from the 30-level handcrafted Campaign and from Custom Mode. The current achievement record confirms milestones at 5, 15, and 30 waves, while a maximum wave, checkpoint system, saved progress, and universal module schedule are To be confirmed.

Start with the gameplay modes guide for the product boundary and the Endless Master guide for the 30-wave achievement requirement. The online co-op guide covers the three-player relay that carries into a long run.

Endless is not another Campaign count

Campaign has 30 handcrafted levels with increasing difficulty. Endless creates waves procedurally, so a wave number should not be added to the Campaign total or treated as a permanent level map. Custom lets a team adjust conditions for practice and does not replace either count.

This distinction matters when a player says that a run reached a particular wave. That statement describes Endless progress, not a newly discovered Campaign level. Keep achievement progress and Campaign completion as separate goals.

The wave-by-wave team loop

Treat every wave as a new state packet. Name the current module, report every clue that can change the rule, let the manual reader choose one action, repeat that action, and wait for confirmation before the bomb operator touches the control.

After an input, report whether the panel cleared, changed, or expects another action. A familiar module name does not guarantee a familiar answer. If a color, position, sound, or Braille clue is unclear, stop and rebuild the current packet instead of carrying a prior wave’s answer forward.

Prepare for rising pressure

The launch record describes Endless as becoming harder. It does not publish one fixed module order or a universal timer for every run. A team should therefore practice the communication procedure rather than memorize a permanent sequence.

Use the manual guide when a panel appears and the communication guide when the relay becomes noisy. The three roles remain useful because the mode still depends on divided information and confirmed physical actions.

Achievement thresholds

The current achievement record lists Endless Junior at 5 waves, Endless Expert at 15 waves, and Endless Master at 30 waves. Those are achievement thresholds in the public catalogue, not proof that the mode ends at 30 waves.

Endless Master requires completing 30 waves. The current record does not verify a checkpoint after a failed run, saved wave progress, solo eligibility, exact timer, exact mistake allowance, or a guaranteed module sequence. Check the live achievement result after an update.

Common Endless mistakes

  • Counting waves as Campaign levels.
  • Reusing an answer from an earlier wave.
  • Continuing after a panel changed without reporting the new state.
  • Treating a community table as a permanent procedural schedule.
  • Chasing the 30-wave achievement before the team can recover from one uncertain clue.

These are team habits, not extra game rules. A personal pacing method can be useful without being presented as a guaranteed checkpoint.

What remains To be confirmed

The procedural wave structure, rising difficulty, and 5, 15, and 30 achievement targets are the current safe facts. Maximum run length, checkpoint behavior, saved progress, solo support, fixed module tables, exact timers, and mistake limits remain To be confirmed.

When the team needs a controlled module exercise, use Custom. When it needs the authored progression, use Campaign. When it wants a sustained test of the communication loop, Endless is the appropriate mode.
